2008 PWA Wave runner up Victor Fernandez puts his new gear through its paces.

North Sails have recently released footage of what they're dubbing ?their new wave hero', Victor Fernandez, ripping it up on his new gear. The Spanish wave specialist only recently moved to North Sails from long-time sponsor, Simmer Sails. With only a month of his official contract run, Fernandez has wasted no time in getting some footage together of him testing out his new gear. No surprises, the super consistent 24 year old looks to have made a smooth transition to his new Ego wave sails.

Having been the wave runner up in both 2007 and 2008, will '09 be the time for Fernandez to finally make his dreams of becoming World Wave Champion a reality? With the backing of two of the industry's biggest players, and his ever professional approach to competition, this may well be the young Almeria local's time.
