The start 2011 PWA windsurfing season was particularly tough for super-stylish freestyler Phil Soltysiak (Starboard / Dakine), due to all of his windsurfing equipment being burned down in a house fire, and then to add insult to injury his second batch of kit was stolen from the airport. Luckily for Soltysiak his sponsors pulled through in time for the first event of the year in Vietnam, where he stormed through the competition into sixth ^place.

Soltysiak has had a great season on tour and his consistent technical tricks have placed him in the top ten throughout the year. In this video Soltysiak shows complete control in the complex conditions Fuerteventura provides. Prepare to be blown away by monster burners, floaty konos and super-clean shakas.
