Stepping Up

Stepping Up

Not to be outdone by her male counterparts, Swedish freestyler Anna Jonsson shows off her latest moves.

Making her PWA debut back in 2005, Anna Jonsson is part of the ever expanding women's freestyle discipline. At 26 years old, the young Swede has mastered many of the most technical switch and regular stance moves as she continues on her mission to raise the bar of the women's freestyle.

After finishing in 12th position overall at the end of the 2008 PWA season, Jonsson, like much of the freestyle fraternity, has made the move to the southern hemisphere to take advantage of the highly consistent Jericoacoara trade winds.

We've been inundated with footage from the guys showing off their new skills, but here an eye opening insight into just how hard the women are training for the 2009 season. Loaded with impressive switch stance trickery and jaw dropping moves, this footage will certainly motivate even the most lethargic windsurfers to hit the water and try some new moves.
