Windsurfing movie house, Umi have just announced the launch of ?Rough Cuts?, their latest project to house all the painstakingly acquired clips that never made the final cut on their movie productions.

To house the clips, Umi have opened up a new vimeo account featuring everything from random archived material, to sick action clips featuring the cream of the PWAs riders that somehow didn?t make the actual movies. As they said, ?Rather than kill off our darlings, we?ve put them in the limelight at rough cuts?.

To celebrate the launch of rough cuts, Umi have chosen to dedicate their first week to the 2010 PWA World Wave Champion, Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / North / MFC) with ?V1ctory Week?.

Umi commented:

?Over the years we have gathered thousands of clips of Victor in Pozo, many have made our vids, many haven?t! What strikes us is not just his phenomenal jumping; his wave riding in Pozo is definitely where he stands out in the score sheets. He is one of the few riders who has been able to consistently do goiters, takas, shakas and wave 360?s in the tough onshore conditions??
