The only problem with 'working for the dole'..... Lets pick a type of work ie; cleaning up street / road / parkland trees in council areas this then now has the stigma of a 'no skill' work with little or no value, do that for a couple of years & train people in the tree maintenance what you have? 'a worthless job'
What is REALLY needed is a way to inspire motivation.....Motivated people find themselves jobs, but then again motivated people wouldn't be on the dole in the first place...... So how do 'inspire motivation? Make the dole harder to get !!!!!!
This is like a dog chasing its tail !!!!!!
Stop paying people to sit on their arse, that should inspire & motivate them!
Give them a ****ty job & they might then want to improve themselves, at the end of the day it's up to them, you can't make people change if they don't want to.
Any work we can get out of them is a bonus if we are paying them, the downside is trying to supervise them.
Cleaning graffiti or picking up rubbish should teach them a bit about respecting other's property as well.
