SHark culkl is a step in the right direction of protecting recreational ocean users until something better comes along what the hell do u do??
I like Sharks they protect people from getting hurt by Greenies.
Greenies should be the ones being culled
Especially the ones that love eating Meat or Fish as watching them being slaughtered is just hideous

The policy is crazy on so many accounts. Environmental factors aside, you now have a 2.6 metre shark released off Cottesloe. Left to its own devices it would now possibly be cruising off a remote beach maybe south of Bunbury. But now it's pissed off, disorientated, low on oxygen, swimming in circles and folks have cancelled a weekend at the beach just because they know it's there. Not that a drowsy 2.6 metres shark would have much of a bite.. would it?

on the fence, i dont like seeing people get eaten but the measures this government has taken are ridiculous and a waste of money , i dont think it will work at all and more attacks will occur

The funny thing is although we get called pro cullers,,,I don't think any of us would support a full on cull. Mitigation strategy yes but not a cull. We all love the ocean. I was a donating member of the wilderness society for many years so I guess in a sense I am a chai latte drinking Mung bean eater as well. It's just that I don't consider this to be a cull. And I think all the propaganda is trying to paint it as one.

It's not compulsory to surf in places inhabited by sharks when the water is grey and filmy. That's the best way to avoid being munched. The best way to minimise the risk, is don't surf there or just HTFU.

Also not true, most were in the morning before 9am and at reef breaks, Wedge was the only beach break.................

Wedge 9am Saturday morning, Dolphins is reef and sand.
Umbies 930 am Saturday morning also reef and sand.
Both days the swell was max 2 foot in 4 foot of water.

So they wernt in the middle of the day, Dolphins where you take off from is sand, the reef is way out the back.
