You often come back with how many years you have been kiting and how much experience you have. Thats great, but it doesnt mean that everyone else knows nothing about kites.
If the Rebel is so advanced , how come its still mid 2000s 5 line technology, where just about everyone else manages to do the same with 4 lines.
I have no desire for 5 lines in surf. Been there, done that, dog breakfast.
I stand by my comment. The Rebel is a good kite, no doubt, but so is the BWS, and it is a LOT cheaper.
Taking quality, fuctionality, efficiency and price into concern the Rebel would be 5th or 6 th down the list if I was to buy a kite today.
Each to his own. If youve got heaps of cash to blow, by all means get the Rebel.
Ah, assumption is the mother of all F^*$ ups. You are of course assuming that the Rebel is mid 2000's technology, but the interesting part is I'm willing to bet if you chat to the North retailers, you'll find they sell more old technology 5 line North's than the "new technology" 4 line norths. Having ridden and owned 4 line high depower kites since bows first came out (naish shockwave, nova 2, switchblade, Rev2, Furia, ATV), I'll tell you that the North Rebel is definitely not a step back. Every 4 line rider I put on my Rebel for a test has come off wanting to buy one.
As for quality, you can kid yourself about the BWS being in the same league for quality but thats the only person you'll be kidding. I have no doubt its a good performer, but you still get what you pay for.
