No mate the forward and aft lines are independent and lashed forward and aft.

my job tomorrow is to glass around where the mast goes through the hull. Someone did a dodgy job there before and I can pull off the layers of failed glass fabric I'll redo it all.

Had the old girl out for a scrub, a bit of caulking, antifoul and back in. 18 months since last shave and a hair cut.

Good one. At the risk of repeating prior comments while the mast is being re-rigged suggest remove all stainless fittings to check for galvanic corrosion underneath. If there is any at all rectify it suitably and re-fasten the fitting with appropriate monel or stainless rivets or stainless metal thread fasteners, also ensuring that the fitting and the rivets / fasteners are liberally coated with Tef-Gel to provide the corrosion barrier. Assume you will re-paint the mast with 2 pack polyurethane - 2 coats over an etch primer coat or 2.

Looks terrific Southace! Any future owner will be getting a great yacht - Icon is extremely well sorted and good looking IMHO.

New main sail, new selden boom with single line reefing and selden rod kicker getting fitted in the next week or so! Someone will get a good yacht with all the bells and whistles thrown in! My loss again!

The cast aluminium pedestals get a lot of corrosion due to disimular metals, mine is Edson , some of the screws below the compass was well seized. The wrap is just a nice cover up rather than painting. It will be intresting how long it lasts. At least it breaths not like the painted surfaces.

I owe Seabreeze sailors a thanks. My yanmar was start / stopping yesterday so after checking the primary filter I cut in a priming bulb pump on the inlet side of the cav filter just outside the diesel tank. This allowed me to slightly pressurise the fuel system and showed small leaks on the hose line to the injectors. Quick tighten and prime using new priming pump and done. Cheers guys.

Coming up two years since relaunching.
Antifoul standing up well for that time.

More the fresh water than the micron.
The power boat has gone 5 years before an antifoul.
Sits in fresh water in the kermandie river then you go out into the salt water in the channel.

Good one putting the plastic around the crane lift tackle webbing so as to not scratch the mirror topsides..............
