That doesn't make sense. If it takes more skill, timing and positioning to make it work then it's harder to catch waves.

I get your point here but physically its not harder its easier, when you know what your doing, you can take off with a single paddle stroke rather than having to paddle like billyo maybe its a video thing to prove what I mean.

That contradicts what you said earlier.

Its a different application for the board really, by bigger waves I mean 2 x OH and I dont have the confidence to tilt the small board up into whats for me a huge wave and take off, maybe I am a sissy but its a mind game. I find I hande the drop on the bigger board better. I dont care if it makes sense it works for me.

I heard a rumour that's the *board 7'2" SUB in its other guise...

...now discontinued as a SUB but a couple still available here in WA from one of the forum sponsors if you want one
