SA Murray cod closure to continue through 2010
The Fisheries Dvision of South Australia's Department of Primary Industries and Resources has announced that the State's Murray Cod fishery will remain closed througout 2010.
Coinciding with the announcement of the closure was the release of a paper titled 'Management Options for Murray Cod in South Australia' which outlines a number of options for the sustainable management of the freshwater species.
PIRSA is seeking public comment on the paper and is also planning a series of public meetings early in 2010 to allow the opportunity for people to express their views.
The paper and information on how to submit comments can be found on the PIRSA Fisheries website.
A feedback form is included with the paper. Submissions close at 5:00pm on 31 March 2010.
