Starboard Athletes take Top Placing at Seaside Celebration

The 2nd annual Yolo Seaside Celebration in Seaside, Florida, was an all round first class event. The morning began with a 3-mile open class race which was followed by a 7-mile elite course. The beautiful white sand beaches and aqua blue ocean water were a pleasant distraction for the racers as they battled both each other, and the extreme heat and humidity.

Competitors were then justly rewarded with a lunch and a free concert in the beautiful oceanfront community of Seaside - pristine and untouched by any of the effects of the gulf oil spill.

Starboard athletes EJ Johnson, Nikki Gregg, and Ian McFarland each took top three in the elite race making the TIKI Starboard proud once again!

Ian McFarland -
 1st Place men's elite unlimited
Nikki Gregg - 2nd place elite women
EJ Johnson - 3rd place men's elite 12'6

Earlier in the week the 'First Lady of SUP', Nikki Gregg, hosted one of her popular two-day SUP Fitness Boot Camps to help participants improve their paddling technique, learn how to use stand up paddling for fitness and cross-training, and how to keep muscle imbalances and overuse injuries to a minimum.
