It blew 18-24 knots. Was perfect conditions from 3:30pm until 6:45pm. I had the best session ever - exhausted and satisfied.
What a pity nobody else wanted to race. I virtually had the river to myself.

So, as this was Melville's weekend to host (and they abdicated) then its upwind from Pelican Point to Melville beach again next weekend ;-)

Yeah I'm really scared.....real scared, must ensure my harness is good!!

What about this sat, if there is wind, doing a race round the buoys out front of melville beach, we can put buoys out or use existing buoys there. Sort of straight out and left from Ness Road, then down to off majestic point then back up finishing close in? at Ness Road.

Or something like that.

Come on pelli ****ters, betcha cant beat the mighty Melville Mincers.

so taking out the first 3 spots or so means you don't want a rematch on the reverse leg?

Nothing like graceful winnners and loosers...............get set for round two....do we need handycapping? I recon I haven't got an ice cubes chance in hell of ever beating IY or VB.

Melville needs the young talent in its stable to kick some "a" and win round 2.

I'll provide refresh for Melville again. 1st three places to Peli crowd..........just not good enough.... shame on Melville shame

Congrats to all in WA on orgainising the event. I may be getting carried away, but I reckon it's a milestone in kite evolution.

Just wondering, what kind of kites were the winners using?

I know Puppet is spending all his life energy organising Kitestock at the moment, but what about you other Melville loafers? Second chance to organise the Big Race but I haven't seen a post this week yet. Is it today? Is it tomorrow? Is there a course??? Perhaps you guy's don't really kite and just talk about it.

theres a course :)

something along the lines of upwind channel marker out the back of the melville sand bar, down to one of the marks off majestics, back to the 50m buoy

would be good.

id still like to see the reverse leg melville-peli-melville being run

6:30 is too late for me.......after 3 hours in the water, I just don't have it in me any more to have a race.

But tomorrow does look good, finally some real wind....want to fly smaller kite again.

Hey Phil, I know you're the King of Melville but I would have thought that poor relative or one of the other crew there could take the lead?

Give me a call to arrange a time & place to pick your SPEED up.

Has someone been identified to tow my jetski up to Kitestock?

Ian, I think gruezi must be kiting alone at Melville these days. All the others must have had their spirits crushed by us after the last race.

Unfortunately this may be their last chance to organise somthing this season. Next week everybody will be in Port Gregory and that's it.

Is anyone from Melville able to race today?

psssst hey Youngie
I reckon you should take my new kite up to KITESTOCK and give everyone a chance to try it out.
Then sell it to me 1/2 price as used demo stock.
Bloody (pardon the pom) great idea
