Just mail info@gongsup.com, you should be able to reserve wings in advance or at least be mailed as soon as they are pre-orderable.
They should be orderable before xmas.

Any reason for it being a Tuttle and not the track system colas? It looks like a really good value option (I actually have an old gong sup bamboo cloud and rate their quality). The Tuttle blows it out the water for me though.... excuse the pun..

You can order the Allvator with a plate mount.

1 adaptateur Tuttle box.(sur simple demande ?crite dans les commentaires de votre commande, cet adaptateur Tuttle peut ?tre remplac?e par un syst?me de fixation par platine 4 vis si vous le souhaitez)

As FRP said. And I repeat: just mail them for any question. They can arrange a lot of things, special orders, advice, ... they have 4 people dedicated to customer interaction by phone and email...

gongsupshop.com/epages/box1707.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/box1707/Products/GON8FOILALLTOPPLATE

And if you do not want the Tuttle mount, you can ask to have the plate mount instead of the tuttle, rather than adding a plate mount to your order. (But having both may be useful in case of resale)

When you are checking out, you put it in the notes at the bottom. It's was one of the last steps. Then the notes shows bold up on your invoice "i want a plate mount instead..."

They're good on communication, every email replied to by the next business day. I ordered mine 15th they got back with me for the extra shipping cost early 17th and they say they sent it out the same day.

Not me (I don't kite), but some people had reported having fun with it in the Gong forum: basically you go slower than a kite foil, and you have more drag, so you must use a slightly bigger sail than with a kite foil. Seems that some people love it, and others don't (the ones wanting to go always as fast as possible)., but I guess you already know this. Anyways, yes you can use the Allvator surf/SUP with a kite with no issues.

Yesterday some guy even said he is using the Allvator surf foil for kiting with only the main wing (he cut the fuz, the one on the right). So I guess the foil main wing is well balanced.

No rear wing/fuselage!?

There is so much the tech inclined can play around with....interesting to watch it all unfold. Maybe that will be the norm in a few years....

Hats off to all the pioneering, test pilot, guinea pigs out there!

Note that Beasho also removed his stab for SUP foiling some weeks ago. But he may have posted about it on the Zone but not Seabreeze.

Just FYI, Gong has unveiled his 2nd generation foil-only SUP boards: the "Zuma".
Full PVC sandwich (even on the rails), no carbon, US boxes, recessed deck for lower feet position for better control, beveled rails and kick tail, and a roundish nose for a fast paddle speed for its size

Will ship mid- February (orderable now), 799 euros. 3 sizes: 6'3" 95l, 6'6" 105;, 6'9" 130l

More details at gongsupshop.com/epages/box1707.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectPath=%2FShops%2Fbox1707%2FCategories%2FFOIL%2FSUPfoil%2FSUPfoil_boards

The Mob 2Taste are "hybrid" SUP boards, usable with or without a foil.

The surf foil boards (3'6" to 5'10") were already available at gongsupshop.com/epages/box1707.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/box1707/Categories/FOIL/Surfoil/Surfoil_boards all being usable as surf or kite foil boards.

Also, FYI, the bigger sizes wings are now available: 90 and 100cm, with a specific fuz (longer than the one for 70 & 80cm wings)

here a pic comparing the 70cm wings with the 90 & 100 (80cm not shown):

Nice, that Will make 4 different wings, 2 defferent fusalges, and 3 different stabilzers all interchangeable for surf. Lot of potential combos to experiment with.

Colas Have you tried the 40cm stabiler yet?

Not yet. It is ready in the van :-)

They are busy adding new products everyday, new product pages may take some time to appear... Their pages should be up shortly.

Some news:

- Having a specific fuz for the bigger wing sizes is dropped. It seems people found this too cumbersome, so the current fuz stays the same, the bigger wings thus have been reinforced instead of the fuz as was planned.

- the bigger wings XL (90cm) and XXL (100c,) are now orderable in the shop, for a delivery early february.

The first batch of 100cm have been all pre-sold in only some hours...

Note that you can enter your email in the web page of any Gong item to be notified when they become available again: e.g. click on "Notify on availability" on gongsupshop.com/epages/box1707.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectPath=%2FShops%2Fbox1707%2FProducts%2FGON8FOILALLFWING100

And you can of course email info@gongsup.com to reserve one even if they are not orderable yet on the web site.

Clamsmasha, cool!

For the record, Patrice made an interesting post today where he said that wings should be compared more by their volume than their size, as the volume also takes into account the camber of the foil that has a big role in the lift.

He shared the relative volume of his wings in this table:

This was to stress that since for him, the M is great as an all-around wing for 75kg people, the L will be quite enough for 100kg people as it is already a big jump up from the M, no need to go XL or XXL just for your weight. XL and XXL are more for a different kind of ride, slower but more in glide, or downwinding.

And Patrice wants to thanks all Gong foilers:

The Allvator success : "First of all I want to thank you all. Between 200 and 400 Foils are going out the door every month.

Exceptional growth !!! You know we sell a few SUP and Surf Boards, and a couple Kites. well, just this week for example a third of our sales have been 100% Foil gear. And it's winter, with howling winds, sideways rain, and snow !!!

It's just amazing to see the birth of this passion. I can see you all like in the beginning of SUP, with the same grouchiness, the same hesitations, the same ones who jump in, I love it. It's really exciting.

Outside of the business, which makes our nice little French company work, it's a real pleasure to see the craze.

It's also more fun to not have a major accident happen, and we're counting on you to keep safety your main priority. Who knew, a good Foil at an honest price is possible.
Thanks everyone."

That's really interesting.
We just can't compare that atm, because Gong is the only brand giving the foil volume.

It would be interesting to compare e. g. Gong XL regarding size and volume to other wings, e. g. an SS Infinity 84 or the GoFoil wings.

As far as I can tell on the web site the rear strap position is waaaaaay behind the foil ???????? what's that about?

Hi colas, when we look at the gong website in Australia it says the prices are inclusive of vat. Does this mean an international purchaser can then deduct vat from the price advertised on the website, a deduction of 20%. If so the prices certainly are very attractive

May I also suggest that gong try to get some ambassadors in capital cities and major surf hubs around Australia. I find it hard to commit to a product that I have never seen in person.

With that said does anyone in the Perth metro area have a gong foil or kite that i can look at ( or perhaps gently fondle)

They remove the VA-Tax in the check out. The 20% savings just about pays the shipping on a foil.

As Fishdude said, the VAT (20%) is removed for non-EU buyers.

I guess you will find them more and more around you, even in Australia. But even if you do not, buying one "blind" and being disappointed is no big deal, as you can easily resell them locally: I bet that what you lose will be still less than the price hike of the foil if Gong had to provide demo gear near each surf spots worldwide... there is no free lunch.

You can also mail the gong team to as if they already sold one to people in Perth.
