I know you pretty well Mark and to be honest I can not believe that you worry about red thumbs so much. For that matter I don't know why anyone would worry about them. If someone doesn't have the balls to say something negative in my opinion they either don't feel strongly enough about it, scared of reprisal or they are they like me and are hyper sensitive of others feelings.
I kind of liked the thumbs although rarely pressing them myself unless it was to purposely stir someone I knew hated thumbs.... I liked getting them though, it made me feel cool......
sorry just the way i feel about it. you might think different if you are on the end of prolonged red thumb attacks.
Mate it's like the schoolyard. Nicknames never stuck unless you hated them. How many people do you know with nicknames that make them sound cool?
Point is, if you say you hate red thumbs it's kind of funny for people to press them on your posts. Especially as they are anonymous. Phil from OG was smashed withthem and he reacted, he got more. Surf Animals threw a major wobbly he got them no matter what he wrote.
I pressed them for people, even when they just said hello. That Kiwi guy was a classic, he spat the dummy everytime.[}:)]
