For the record, I got fed up with all the commercial and childish abuse of the red thumbs in this forum. One crew even had numerous logins and were PM'ing each other to thumb users & topics. Go figure.

You have to admit, it's bloody funny to think the well 'ard men of this forum are suggesting the so-called cry babies need to get a life when these same tough guys are PM'ing each other to gang red thumb some poor sap. Makes me think of this...

instead of red thumbs , how about a " gillard " [ i,m not good at graphics , but may be a small red headed cartoon character sitting on top of a green thumb ??]

this way 50% of people would not be offended by its insertion .

you know what, a fair percentage of the guys 'demanding' red thumbs don't actually post topics in the sup forum if at 'all'

seems to me a lot of them are in it for the 'roadkill'.

it's bit rich to be making demands boys. if you invest in the forums with some 'posts' maybe your voices might receive a bit more of a hearing for the powers that be

notice a fair amount of pansy posters of the forum aren't buying into this topic at all

Nobody is demanding anything other than a question to be answered.
I'm ask again,why is this forum THE ONLY one without the red thumbs?

I can't speak for Laurie but assume it must be because this is the only forum where red thumbs were used to deliberately antagonise people regardless of what they were posting about. Also, the only forum where industry types were using red thumbs when they were not happy with a commercial competitor getting a leg up. Both instances defy Laurie's stated intention for the site. In short, we have shown we are too immature to use red thumbs appropriately. At least, that's what I assume is the reason.

how do you know what was being said in PM's?

Fair question .. I saw that the thumbs against certain people were consisently from the same crew (I can see the list of who's thumbing who) .. so I rang one of them up, and he spilled the beans about what they were up to. (Which was all good fun in his mind)

Subsequently, software was modified so that businesses couldn't thumb other businesses to try and counter this, but then many kicked up at their loss of thumbing, and others worked around it.

These thumbs have taken up more time, money & effort than I dare to count..

Who'd have thought eh?

I just want to help people to get along and help each other out ..
