We had the best midwinter Windsurfer Class Regatta since 1983 on the Swan River in Western Australia out of Mounts Bay Sailing Club (MBSC) on Sunday 27 June 2021 in testing and gusty 14-28 knot winds. There were a massive 23 entrants which is good for 2021 standards. MBSC provided world class race management and apres race celebrations for the competitors.
Next event, the Australian Master Games Windsurfer Class regatta in October at MBSC is going to be awesome. We are looking forward to a big entry register. Windsurfer Class is the only windsurfing event and I note also there are no foilers nor kiters in the AMG events sadly so Windsurfer Class is a great thing for windsurfing. Already we have some top eastern states Windsurfer class stars heading over so the expectation is very high as we get closer. There is still time to get into the class for the event and battle it out on one design equipment to see who is the best sailor in Australia. The only test is your sailing skills. Are you ready, willing and able ?

We love his work. Quite a few hundred even thousand windsurfer boards passed under those bridges in the background in the 1980s in racing events. A few comments about the shot, for now follow. "
Battle of boards here in Windsurfer Class Midwinter WA Championship action at MBSC, Perth WA. Noel Lacey (224) being chased on the downwind leg by former MBSC club champion Mark Taylor (229) and Gordon Salvage (363) ex South African Olympic team member. Another top flight South African LT sailor Ian Murray (305) is crossing over also in relentless hot pursuit of this close to leading pack up the windward leg.
