Stonefish at Redcliffe, Qld
A word of warning about Stonefish found at Scarborough Beach in Redcliffe, Qld from Seabreeze member qfmike737It wont be long until we start getting more NW winds and people try Scarborough. I advise everyone that this beach is NOT I repeat NOT a good kitesurfing beach!
Be AWARE of a shell encrusted Crabpot that cannot be removed and is located close to shore.
Be AWARE of the plentiful marine life in the lagoon
Be AWARE of the frequent sightings of STONEFISH
DETAILS: Just a word of warning. This stonefish was found half submerged in a sandy part of the beach 1 metre from the shore. EXACTLY where you walk into the water! Wearing booties aint gonna do nothing for you when you step on this sucker!
