Reigning champions of the prestigious World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) Adam Minoprio and his BlackMatch Racing crew have been named 2010 Singapore Airlines Sailor of the Year at the Yachting Excellence Awards held tonight in Auckland. 25 year old Adam Minoprio and his crew of Nick Blackman, Dave Swete, Dan McLean and Tom Powrie, all products of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron's Youth Programme, have rocketed to the top of the World Match Racing Tour in a few short years winning the world title in 2009, currently at the top of the ISAF rankings.
