David Gilmour, the WA State Match Racing Champion, out sailed the other teams in the matched fleet of Foundation 36 yachts to win the ultimate title - the 2010 Foundation Champion of Champions on Sunday, 20th June 2010. Sailed in light and shifty south easterly winds, the competition was fierce with individual race wins being spread amongst the competing teams. However, the ever consistent Gilmour and his Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club youth team showed great promise and experienced boat handling skills in the testing conditions to win on a count back from Edward Campbell and his Royal Perth Yacht ...
