Dramatic rescue of five as catamaran sinks

Five fishermen have been rescued after abandoning their sinking catamaran off the West Australian coast. The five men, aged between 30 and 50, were returning from a fishing trip to the Abrolhos Islands last night when their 14 metre catamaran Two-J began sinking. WA Water Police reported they five fishermen set off an emergency beacon and made a 000 call before donning their life jackets and jumping overboard, as there was no life raft on the vessel.
