Five 18 foot skiff teams from the US competed over the weekend for a cash prize of $10.000 at San Francisco's tourist mecca Pier 39.

The goal being to bring extreme sailing to the masses, with a three lap winward leeward course set right off the pier's waterfront deck. The action was tight, fast and exciting, with 4-5 races in 15 to 20 knots of breeze.

The 'Dash For the Cash' held at the end of Sundays racing decided who claimed the money, with Patrick Whitmarsh's Team Harken taking home the $10G and bragging right til next time...'
