Here is a selection of images from Sunday's racing in the Vice Admiral's Cup (which has picked up where the Admiral's Cup left off) on the Solent, U.K.

The onboard pictures were taken on the TP52, John Merricks 2. It is raced by students with the aid of the John Merricks Sailing Trust set up in the memory of the British Olympic silver medallist who died at the Mumm 30 Worlds some years ago. The trust assists and inspires youngsters to take up sailing and potentially one day produce an Olympic hopeful.

Our thanks to Ingrid Abery for these images. View more of Ingrid's work at www.hotcapers.com
