'Tom Slingsby - Laser' Craig Heydon
The Adelaide Sailing Club is hosting the Laser National Championship from December 27th 2009 through to the 4th January 2010. Invited Classes are the Laser (Olympic Class), Laser 4.7 and Laser Radial (Olympic Class).

197 sailors from Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, Poland, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and the Cook Islands have entered the event.

Glorious 36 degrees, 7-8 knots building to 9, super crystal clear, (possibly shark infested, at least thats was what the European's were told.)

After the completion of the first day of racing, Tom Slingsby (AUS) leads the Laser class, after scoring two bullets. Ashley Brunning (AUS) is second and and Jeemin Ha (KOR) third.

In the Laser 4.7 Class, France's Laszlo Horvath took both races to lead from Singapore's Terence Choo with Stephen Collings (AUS) third.

In the Laser Radial Qualifying, Elliott Noye (AUS), leads from Laura Baldwin (AUS) and Seng Leong Koh (SIN).
