Lowrance's Broadband Sounder-1 put to test

Navico Asia Pacific's Dave Silva and Lance Smith teamed up with Haines Hunter's John Haber and - with the help of Lowrance's sonar optimiser technology - did very well in the competition, with Dave winning the title of Champion Visiting Angler.
Dave Silva said this was biggest test yet for the Broadband Sounder-1 system.
'If you thought Lowrance sounders were good, you haven't seen anything until you pair one with the Broadband Sounder-1 module,' Mr Silva said.
'This advanced technology has turned the best sounder into the greatest sounder I have ever used. not only does it let you see into the water, but through it - and the definition is absolutely incredible.

The new Broadband Sounder-1 uses the high-speed Lowrance Ethernet network to deliver peerless echo clarity and the highest underwater definition ever achieved in both shallow and extremely deep water.

The module automatically produces digitally purified marking and separation of fish, structure, thermoclines and bottom, while surface/turbulent water clutter is also eliminated to assist in clearly marking targets.
The Broadband Sounder-1 is compatible with all Lowrance 2007 units with 5' (12.7cm) or larger colour displays, using the five-pin yellow Ethernet connector. The module is also compatible with all Lowrance transducers and frequencies - 50kHz, 83kHz and 200kHz.
