Maria Island Yacht Race - David Creese's DK46 Dekadence this morning has taken line honours in the Tasports 63rd Maria Island Yacht Race, with only 22 minutes between the first four boats to finish the 190 nautical mile ocean race around Tasmania's rugged south-east coast. Provisional handicap placings have been dominated by the smaller yachts in the 21 boat fleet, with three yachts still to finish the Royal Yacht of Tasmania's longest ocean race at 6.30am The MBD 36 Whistler, skippered by David Creese, is provisional winner under IRC ratings while Stewart Geeves' Young 88 Footloose is provisionally overall winner ...
