NSW Maritime has issued an alert to boat owners about adverse weather conditions. With gale warnings and winds forecast to reach up to 40 knots along the NSW coast, boaters are reminded to take extra care and monitor the weather. High winds can cause problems, particularly for the thousands of moorings dotted around our waterways. NSW Maritime reminds boat owners that if their vessel breaks free of its mooring and collides with another vessel or structure, they may be liable for the damage caused.
