With two sailing-mad siblings in the family, there was never any doubt what direction Paul Darmanin's sporting pursuits would head. The teenager hated sailing when he first stepped onto a Manly Junior aged seven but soon found his sea legs and is now rated one of the country's brightest young prospects. He stands on the verge of collecting one of the most prestigious awards in Australian sailing - the Australian youth sailor of the year.
