Australian's are renowned for betting on just about anything - including two flies on a wall, but not it seems on Sunfish

There are all kind of side bets happening between the top contenders, but we note with interest that the 2.5 tonne Ocean Sunfish does not seem to be figuring.

That is a bet on just how many of the big boats report they hit at Sunfish, on the way south during the 2008 Rolex Sydney Hobart

Here at Sail-World, we figure that ASM Brindabella (retired 1993- Sunfish), ASM Shockwave (2002 - retired may have been a Sunfish) Wild Oats XI hit Sunfish 2005-2006 and Skandia hit Sunfish 2003,2004,2005,2006,2007 all have form. And there are more possibilities Blackjack is a new comer but has a forward canard and that could be a Sunfish attractant and the two new boats, Limit and Loki look like serious Sunfish chances too,

We shall be watching with interest from the Derwent River from December 27th to see how the Sunfish score!
