This morning Sail-World.com spoke to Australian Solo sailor Ian Thomson, just a few hours before he arrived back in Airlie Beach after his circumnavigation aboard his Welbourn 40 SOS Ocean Racing. Ian set off from Airlie Beach on May 5th and he will now have taken 26 days off the record. He said this morning ''I have 50 nautical miles to go out of 6,650. I know the Whitsunday area so well.
