Skippers - Take care near Hawkesbury Canoe Classic

Boaters heading out on the Hawkesbury River tomorrow afternoon are reminded to minimise their wash and take extra care as up to 600 paddlers take to the water. NSW Maritime Hawkebury/ Broken Bay Acting Regional Manager Darryl Lennox said the organisers of the Hawkesbury Canoe Classic 2010 had successfully applied for exclusive use of the section of the river between Macquarie Park, Windsor, and the Sackville Ferry from 3pm to midnight for the event. The Canoe Classic starts at Macquarie Park, Windsor, and finishes some 100 km downstream at Brooklyn (F3 Road Bridge). 'NSW Maritime has provided exclusive use for ...
