Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week's warm waters, great competition and north Queensland hospitality has lured back southerners for another year. Four years ago Townsville Yacht Club (TYC) sailors coming back from the two largest sailing events in Queensland, Merdien Marinaa Airlie Beach Race Week and Audi Hamilton Island Race Week decided that sheltered waters around Cleveland Bay and Magnetic Island would be the perfect setting for another Australian winter season regatta.
