Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week 2010 is underway. Today's course for the IRC, PHS, Multihulls and Cruising 1 divisions is the 22.3 nautical mile Four Foot Rock Race, while the Race Committee has set the 14.2 nautical mile Cape Cleveland Race for the Cruising 2 and Cruising Non Spinnaker divisions. Under overcast skies with a east nor easter breeze blowing at four to seven knots, the fleet prepared for the starter's gun. The IRC division was gunned away at 10.55am with PHS following shortly afterwards. The other divisions followed. Drama as Zen and Quattro were involved in a pre-start collison. ...
