Donations to the 2010 Heaven Can Wait Charity Yacht have surged ahead closing on $16,000 as they head towards the target figure of $25,000, a week out from the race. The race, which will be held on Lake Macquarie on the NSW October Long Weekend (October 2-3), raises money for men's cancer research and support programs. Boats competing in the regatta, which includes the iconic Heaven Can Wait 24 Hour Race, as well as the shorter 'One Lap Dash' are raising money for the Cancer Council NSW through the EveryDayHero on-line donation system.
