After their elimination from the 2010 Louis Vuitton Truphy in Auckland, TeamOrigin took delivery of their new TP52 from Auckland's Salthouse Boatbuilders, who had earlier constructed the team's tender. While the other competitors contested the semifinals of the Louis Vuitton Trophy, TeamOrigin was out training in the Hauraki Gulf. Ian Roman was along for the ride.
