Volvo In-Port Race in Qingdao abandoned for the day

In-port racing in the Volvo Ocean Race was postponed in Qingdao, China today, as deep fog descended on the race track. With little wind to speak of, it the Race Committee officially abandoned racing for the day 16:10 local time (08:10 GMT).

Although the weather forecast is for little improvement, the third in-port race in the Volvo Ocean Race has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, replacing the scheduled Pro-Am race day. The start time will be published on www.volvooceanrace.org
