But do we agree that even though Pfizer did not require the vaccine to prevent transmission in order to release it to the market, i.e. it was not designed to prevent transmission, that it could indeed prevent transmission and still be compatible with what was said?
95% of Aussies got double vaxxed.
Did Covid run rampant throughout Australia?
A) Yes
B) No
You seem to be using terrible logic to try and avoid clear discussion. You aren't even clearly stating what your points are meant to prove. You are just putting stuff out there and hoping it assembles itself into an argument.
When did 95% of people get double vaxxed?
Does 95% confer herd immunnity when done at the same time?
It's been a while now and people forget things with time, but as far as I recall, where I live Covid was barely a thing for the most part. So given that its a significant part of Australia, I guess I can say that Covid didn't run rampant (a scientific term?) throughout Australia.
Now, not that you asked, vaccines that I received were targetted to a different strain to the one that was circulating at the time. I think its a reasonable understanding that it meant that my body was primed against "Covid" but not the exact strain. It had a head start.
My symptoms were almost non-existent when I got Covid, If it weren't for the testing I wouldn't have known I had it and only did tests because a close contact reported they had Covid. I have no way of knowing if I would have gotten it worse if I had not been vaccinated.
I have had other people telling me they had a terrible couple of days with Covid even though they were vaxxed. They were vaccinated, but not as many or as early as myself. Had this had an effect? Again I have no way of knowing.
I don't know any unvaccinated people that have volunteered they had Covid. I think you can understand that I think these people would be very quiet about it if they had Covid and suffered badly. For people vocal about not being vaccinated I think they would also be vocal if they caught Covid and got almost nothing. Which proves nothing.
Do vaccines generally work? Yes.
Have we reached a point where most people can catch Covid and be relatively okay? Yes, I think so.
Did Pfizer say that their vaccine did not prevent transmission? No.
