Gene therapy makes changes to genes. I don't care what the FDA consider it. The use of 'gene therapy' by anti-vaxxers seems to imply that someone is making changes to our DNA to do something nefarious to us, and mRNA just doesn't do this. It's almost like its in the name.

As to payment from tax payers I don't want anything. It's hard to put a price on poisoning people especially as it doesn't only affect the physically sick. Your mother is clearly not at fault for telling you to get vaccinated, in the same way no one else is. It was for the common good and no one thought there would be these severe reactions. Had she thought that there was there was no way she would have suggested it, so she should have no guilt. Neither should you.

My personal belief, and purely my belief, is that some people through whatever random genetics, are affected by both the virus and the vaccination for it. There is no way to forecast this.

As you have pointed out, these companies required emergency approval for these treatments otherwise nothing would have been done. No one would have been vaccinated and millions more would have died.

Anti-vaxxers are like those people that always tell you the negative. Those people that tell you 'it will never work' or 'it will never last' or even 'you won't enjoy spending your money on a windsurfing trip'. I went overseas recently to a place where their government made them take the vaccine.... and to my surprise they were actually grateful and proud that their country had weathered the pandemic so well.
