C4 Team Open the Hawaiian race season with a bang!

Whilst most of us brush the cobwebs off the steamer downunder, mid May welcomes the opening of the Hawaiian Spring/Summer Race season.

On Oahu, there was the Battle Of The Paddle event, unofficially the most prestigous SUP race in the world, whilst across the channel on Maui the famed OluKai Ho'olaule'a Maliko downwind run was held.

Team C4 opened the weekend with a bang dominating the Mens Elite BOP event on Oahu, our newest ambassador Travis Grant comfortably winning the Mens Elite race whilst Georges Cronsteadt came in at 6th & Eric Pavao 10th.

In the Elite Women Mariko Strickland crossed the line in 8th in her first competitive race. Not a bad effort!

In the long race Travis Grant backed up Saturday's win coming first in the 14'0 Stock division and 6th overall whilst Georges Cronstead came 2nd  paddling a rudderless 16'0 in the Open Unlimited division and 2nd overall.

The team then capped off the weekend with a 2nd in the Teams Relay!

Travis Grant crosses the finish line elated with his win in the Mens Elite Race.

Over on Maui at the Olukai event, the C4 team claimed 3 out of the 5 top spots in the 14'0 Stock division. Greg Pavao came 2nd, Archie Kalepa 4th & Kalani Vierra 5th.
