Most people dream of heading to Maui for some time on the water, but is it the same for those that desire the perfect conditions for freestyle? Surely any beach with warm water and plenty of wind will do for this crowd.

We asked some of the World's best where they like to hang out with their mates and learn the newest tricks. And here's what they said:

Elton 'Taty' Frans (Starboard, MauiSails)

"Out of all of the amazing places I have been, I would still recommend Bonaire for freestyle. Here we have the most perfect freestyle conditions, just ask any of the guys that have been here and how much they learnt whilst they were in Bonaire... It's just so easy here. However, I still like places like Kihei in Maui and Sotavento in Fuerteventura. They both have strong wind which makes them pretty special because it allows you to do high power freestyle moves."

Egor Popretinskiy (JP, NeilPryde, MFC)

"The best spots for freestyle change throughout the year and they tend to be where the best freestylers are. In spring and autumn the best riders are in Egypt, Dahab and El Tur, or in Brazil, Jericoacoara. In summer time it's Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. And during winter it's better to ride in South Africa, Venezuela or Bonaire."

Marcilio Browne (Fanatic, North, MFC)

"Brazil is without doubt the best spot. It's warm with flat water and the most consistent wind I have ever seen. I would say icarai and jeri more specifically!"

Kiri Thode (Starboard, Gaastra)

"For me, it's my home spot of course of sorobon beach in Bonaire. I just love it there because I can learn every single move in the easiest of conditions. The wind is just perfect for freestyle and we have different spots in the bay to learn different moves. We have both a flat water spot and another place with big chop on the outside and flat water in between."

Andre Paskowski (Fanatic, North)

"The Good thing about freestyle is that you can do it wherever you want. But, I personally love Jeri in Brazil. There's always wind, sun and lots of fun!"
