Another frustrating day in the NZ Womens Match Racing

Yet another frustrating time for the sailors on day two of the 2009 New Zealand Women's Match Racing Championships.

Racing didn't get underway until after 4.00 pm when the Race Committee, after searching several possible venues on the Waitemata Harbour, chose the waters between the Chelsea sugar works and Watchman's Island to the West of the Auckland Harbour Bridge.

Flight Two of Round Robin One was completed, but by 5.30 pm conditions were just too fickle for match racing and so sailing was therefore abandoned for the day.

With only one day left to complete the regatta, the Race Committee certainly have a challenge on their hands. The competitors and race organisers alike must surely be reaching new levels of frustration by now while the rest of Auckland enjoys some beautiful late-summer weekend weather.
