Team coach, Traks Gordon could not have been happier with the results of members of the Australian Laser 4.7 Team. 'It feels like we have been here forever and it could be easy to think the end is near however the reality is we are only on day 2 of points. There is a lot of sailing remaining and we must remain focused and disciplined.'

Discipline and team spirit have been the theme of the trip and all the sailors are coping with the pressure of international racing thanks to a fantastic mix of sailors from all corners of the Australia.

Conditions for day 2 mirrored day 1. Sea breeze, tide and a 'go left' race track making starts and clear lanes king. The Australian team executed their game plans well with some outstanding achievements.
In Race 3 in the Girls under 18's Australia took the first three places with Ella Evans winning and Caitlin Elks and Ashlie Lane coming second and third respectably. In Race 4 Caitlin consolidated her position with a dominating win and Mark Spearman also had a win in the under 16 mixed division.

The Laser 4.7 World Championship is showcasing emerging talent from all over the world and the competition is fierce.

In overall standings Australia has 3 girls in the top 6 in the under 18's division and a top 5 in the under 16's mixed.
