Crowded at the top of FD Europeans leaderboard

Richard Scarr reports to Sail-World it was a long day on the water at the Flying Dutchman Europeans, being sailed in Croatia.

Today saw a change in positions with the leader board looking very, very close.

Sailing today was extremely shifty and at times you had to throw away the textbook and just follow your nose.

Bojsen- Muller sailed consistently and mistake free to take another win today to be leading with 11 points.

We (Rydge and Scarr) had an up and down day rounding third then missing a few shifts and ended up an expensive 12th.

The Hungarians started off in 40th at the top mark and sailed a mistake free beat and finished fourth.

Tomorrow there is only a possibility of two races and they have a 2pm time limit.

Having just spent eight hours on the water for one race of 1hr and 30 minutes, we hope tomorrow there is a little bit more breeze.

With our history with the top two teams (Den21 and Hun70) we have a bit of pressure on us tomorrow. But then anything is possible.

The points table

Den 21 Bojsen- Mullers - 11
Hun 70 Majtthenyi and Domokos- 24
AUS 37 Rydge- Scarr - 25
Ger 202 Borowski and Berlin- 26
Ger 199 Bogumil and Lisken- 27
