The most hotly contested Unlimited Unrestricted circuit boat races ever seen in the Hawkesbury. Blown Alcohol Displacement v Formula 1 Tunnel boats.
Dargle Valley Boat Club situated at Lower Portland on the majestic Hawkesbury River in NSW, says its March 21 and 22 Power Boat Racing Spectacular is looking to have all the right ingredients to be the boat racing weekend of the year.
With assured entries from boat racings superstars, Brian McCosker in 'Liberty', Troy Marland in 'Madness', John Cross in 'Rival', Brett Shepard the current holder of the prestigious Marj Watson Trophy in his awesome white beast 'Unleashed', F1 legend Craig Bailey in Craig Bailey Marine and the current F1 Superboat Champion, Reece Coles.
The support classes will have everything from the Juniors right through to the 2 Litre Formula boats and competitors are coming from Queensland, Victoria and South Australia to support the meeting. With full fields of injected and carburetted 5.2 litre and 6 litre boats and the hard racing 6 litre restricted pro stock class boats plus a few hydroplanes thrown in guarantees the racing will be hard and fast all weekend.
The DVBC Gold Cup and the Dennis Clarke King of the River, will be two of the most hotly contested Unlimited Unrestricted races ever seen in the Hawkesbury. Outboard v Inboard, the best of the best BAD boats, McCosker and friends will go up against the cream of the F1 Tunnel boats, we have current world F1 campaigner David Trask from Queensland, Reece Coles the current F1 Superboat Champion and multiple Australian and world round F1 winner Craig Bailey.
