A record number of entrants are likely for the 47th Victorian Flying Fifteen championships to be sailed at Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club at Paynesville this coming labour day weekend.

New online web based marine chandler E-marineworld have secured naming rights for the event for the two man off the beach keel boat.

With the recent 2009 world championships on Port Phillip Bay the class has seemingly increased it's numbers rather than the normal post championship slump experienced in many other classes.

The class continues to attract a wide range of sailors from outside the flying fifteen ranks with state, national and world champions from other dinghy classes and international keelboat experience mixing it with the vetrans of class.

With the open, silver and classic division boats all racing this weekend the action will be hot throuhout the fleet amongst the many skipper/crew combinations including youth sailors and husband and wife teams.

New corporate clothing supplier, Beetle Branding and Ronstan International have also thrown their support behind the event which promises to further exhibit the performance and exciting aspect of racing in this strict one design class on Lake Victoria with the steady winds forecast for this weekend.

As most sailors of these boats will say 'Fly a Fifteen'!
