Gosford Endeavour Yachts to dominate National Championships
Several
Gosford based Endeavour Class yachts are set to dominate the National
Championships to be conducted in Gosford over the first weekend of January
2010.
Currently
there are eight Endeavour 26 & three Endeavour 24 class yachts racing with
the Gosford Sailing Club which will host the championships over the 8th

major refurbishment as preparations for the regatta begin in earnest.

from 1964 onwards. These yachts are becoming highly sought after for club
racing or refurbished for cruising as production finished in the early 80's. Over
500 were built over this period.

Endeavour
Yacht Association of Australia
The Endeavour Yacht Association of Australia was formed many years ago in support of owners and sailors of Endeavour yachts; to co-ordinate regattas and to unify these safe, fun family yachts.
Although not in production now there are still many of these boats competitively active in club regattas weekly and off-shore racing. They range in size from 19ft to 32ft with the most popular being the 24ft and 26ft due to their durability and ease of sailing with minimum crew.
The Association promotes awareness of the class through regular competitive regattas and family get-togethers.
The next National Championship Regatta will be conducted at Gosford over the weekend of 8-10 January 2010.
