Heemskirk Consolidated Melbourne to Hobart.

A certain Phil Barret of OzSpars is aboard Robert Green's Pacific 50, 'Dream'. Why is that important you ask. Well, he's a really nice person. OK. What else, then?

Phil has done a lot of things, including a couple of Whitbreads (yes, they were Whitbread Round the World back then, not Volvo Ocean Races). One of these was aboard 'Drum', which was owned by a certain, Simon Le Bon. Now with the resurgence in 80's music of late, even a 20-something can tell you who that is. 'Drum' herself featured in the film clip for the band's song, 'Rio'.

Seeing as they have all this talent onboard, it is little wonder they have the cruising boat behaving more like a racing boat. they are currently sitting in third, behind some much more slippery and a whole lot lighter, genuine racing boats.

Good to have you around Phil. See you soon quayside, here at the Elizabeth Street pier.
