'Sam Kivell and Will Ryan leading the 470 fleet on day three of Sail Brisbane'

The Australian Sailing Development Squad's Sam Kivell and Will Ryan were the standout performers on day three of Sail Brisbane, winning all three 470 races to jump into the lead after missing the first day of the regatta.
Kivell and Ryan are tied on points with Alexander and Patrick Conway though have the regatta lead due to their six race victories.
'This is our first regatta since the 470 World Championship a few months back so we've been easing our way back into it,' said Kivell. 'We've had a few ups and downs out there over the last few days but we're feeling much better aboard a new boat and are looking forward to getting out there again tomorrow.'
Sailors were greeted with a northerly wind of around 15 knots throughout the day with the Contender, Hobie 16 and SB3 fleets joining the regatta for the final two days.
Brendan Casey continues to lead the Finn class with two wins and a third today, and is now four points clear of the UK's Henry Bagnall, the only man to have beaten him in a race this regatta.
Australian Sailing Team 470 skipper Mathew Belcher joined the regatta today, hitting the water aboard a Foiling Moth, the first time Belcher had been aboard the boat since the 2008 Moth Worlds. The time away from the class clearly hasn't affected Belcher, as he had two race wins and a second to jump up the ladder to third position, behind Brent Pearson and Justin Spillman.
In the Laser class Ashley Brunning has taken the lead, with a slender two point gap back to Chile's Matias Del Solar Go with Robert Godwin in third. Brunning won two of the day's three races with Godwin taking victory in the other.
'It was really enjoyable out there today with a good steady breeze,' said Brunning. 'The racing's been close throughout the whole regatta, I managed to get away a few times today, but I tell you what it's incredibly close up that first beat.'
Mitchell Kennedy has a one point lead over Ben Franklin in the Laser Radial class with Annalise Murphy just four points further behind.
In the Laser 4.7 class Daniel Smith has opened up a handy lead over Josh Franklin with Jan Kemp in third. Luke Baille continues to lead the RS:X class while it's Hugh Cronin one point clear of Charlie Wyatt in the International Optimists. Joel Turner has a massive 13 point lead in the Sabot class, from Sophie Lahey.
Adam Lahey and Troy Rushton lead the way in the 29ers, ahead of Buron White and Thomas Korner, in the 420s it's Ryan Lindsay and Adam Jones in first, closely followed by Angus Galloway and Alex Gough.
In the first day of Hobie 16 racing it's Rob Ranch and David Woods in first position, tied on points with Andrew Keag and Helen Warneke. Matt Mulder won three of the Contender races, to lead from Geoff Fisher, while in the SB3 class Phillip Gray had four race wins with Kai TImm in second.
