Loro Piana Superyacht regatta racing was out of the question today as south-easterly winds blowing at 24 to 26 knots with gusts of over 30 bought everything to a halt. The 28 competing yachts therefore remained docked in Porto Cervo marina and the provisional standings following yesterday's coastal race remain valid. The Wally 82 Highland Fling leads the Performance Division while Ganesha, built by Fitzroy Yachts, heads the Cruising Division. Given the strong winds buffeting the north-eastern coast of Sardinia and the rough seas building off Porto Cervo, the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda's Race Comittee raised the Answering Pennant, postponing ...
