'Andrew Stevenson on his way to $1000 - International Moth Class Nationals' Bernie Kaaks
Andrew Stevenson was $1000 richer today after winning all races in a knock out Dash for Cash at the end of Day One of the Moths Nationals.

The hard luck story of the day involved Luka Damic, who looked likely to cause an upset until he ran over a longline trailed behind a recreational fisherman's boat and damaged the boats foils, forcing him out of the competition.

All first three heats of the Nationals were won by Andrew McDougall, who elected to sit out the Dash for Cash.

In an 18 knot south easterly breeze the mothies put on a good show for members at the bar at South of Perth Yacht Club. The championship continues all this week.
