The NS14 fleet heralded the start of a new year with Race 7 of the Over the Moon Promotions 42nd National Championship at the Canberra Yacht Club. With a 4pm start to allow for recovery from the New Years Eve celebrations, the fleet set off in a 8 to 10 knots of west south west breeze. Following the pattern of recent days the breeze eased shortly after the start and most of the race was sailed in 5 to 8 knots of breeze.
